There's a link on that site to a PDF file with the details: That would be great except that the link is to an invalid promotion for Project 5 instead of Sonar.

http://www.cakewalk.com/mispecials/SONAR%205%20Producer%20Nov-Dec%20promotion.pdf i'm rather ticked off that i can't use this since i bought one month too early. That's customer appreciation. Early adopters get screwed out of special offers. Thanks Cakewalk. Not to mention, my "Sales receipt" would be an email from CAKEWALK since i bought DIRECTLY from them. Thanks again, Cake...

Thanks again, Cake... Actually, it's not valid for upgrades! So unless you bought Sonar 5 at full price, so you didn't lose out on anything... Rico

I here what you are saying Rico. If I remember correctly, a similar scenario happen before with this program, at which time I failed to receive PSP. Not receiving these offers with an upgrade, of which I have many over the last 15 years (I think), could be perceived as penalization. Sonar is a great program, but I have to question Cakewalk’s business model, well, not all the time, just every now and then. Rick Bail

I'm confused. Is someone upset at Cakewalk because they didn't qualify for an offer made by a third party?

i think it's just a bit of a sting to not get the goodies that other people get, just because you've been a "loyal" customer and the other people have been enticed into buying based on offers of goodies (so long as you're a new customer). sigh. anger? meh. there are worst things in life. like the unending and unbearable loneliness i deal with on a daily second by second basis. and killing. and war. and dead things. and .... but it still stings, you know?

especially for we upgraders who really believed the "Native VST" claim and rushed our credit cards to order version 5. i sigh again. anyway, still a great product and getting better each version. Just some gripes that would make for a more happy user on this end. But then, that doesn't matter much since i'm already a paying customer, yes? Unless the upgraders make up the majority of the income on this product. Any comments on that idea? No arguing, just wondering out loud in a sort of related topic.

AFAIK, Vintage Warmer still doesn't work with S5 in 64-bit mode, so if you bought S5 for that you're stuffed anyhow. Personally Warmer is more valuable to me than 64-bit, so that tickbox is empty for the time being. Shame. PSP are working on it though - wonder if there's an upgrade for that... Steve
