Hello Jennifer, the Key control 49 i believe does not ahve a synth chip, so you need to play it thru one to make it make sounds like a drum set. open an audio track, then set that tracks Fx to edirol VSC, then set the out put of the midi track to edirol as well. make sure that hte midi track is also set to channel 10, and the keycontrol is also set to channel 10, then it should play the drum sounds

Sure, Expand the midi track just like the audio track, whrer you can see the different options, there will be several different drop down boxes, liek Ch (channel), and Pch (patch)Vol (volume), Fx (effects) In ( well ... In), Out (you get the picture) click on out and it will give you the available options or output, chose Edirol VSC, then change the Ch to 10

    Hi,

When I clicked on "Out" there are only options as follow:

    - SoundFound Device
    - SB Live! Synth B (D880)
    - SB Live! MidiPort (D880) and no more option.

"That is because it has to be inserted into an audio track's FX bin before it will show up in the output of the midi track. So open up an audio track expand it and right click the fx drop down, find DXI synths and click Edirol then go back to the midi
