Clipping, wheb does it start?

Where does the clipping start in sonar 5? can you, not go out of the blue at all (-6)? Can you go in to the red, just not the far red, that stays lite if you go in to it. the far red is a very small area that is bright red that stays red when you hit that area. Also where does the 0dBFS start?

    I'm not sure if the "songs" forum is the right place for this thread, but anyway:

    Clipping occures when you reach 0db, meaning the end of the meter. I.e. you can go to the red area, just make sure you don't reach the full lenght of the meter.
