connecting MC 2003 to new computer

We have Music Creator 2003 but are not able to use the connecting cable supplied in the box as our new computer does not have a 15pin midi port. What do I need to do? I'm not great with computers and don't have technical ability.

The 15 pin is sometimes referred to as a game port, since many people plug their controllers in there to play video games. There is no exclusive 15 pin MIDI input. If you have the game port, you can hook it up. If you don't have any 15 pin at all, but have a line in, you can plug your keyboard in there, but you won't have any MIDI (data) editing capability, since it will be audio (sound). Otherwise you'll need a new sound card. Greg
