a few different problems

I recently backed up and then formatted my harddrive. I saved the cakewalk songs to a cdrw. Now when I open CW the individual tracks are present but I don't get any sounds. Here are the error messages I get. Did I mess up a now I don't get my songs anymore?

Error 1: Audio File missing---C:\Cakewalk Project\AudioData\RC18|1WYQ.Wav.......There are a bunch like this that you have to answer Yes or No to all or No when prompted about finding the file.

Error 2: One or more of the sound cards does not support stereo Default set to mono. I am using the same sound card; Sound Blaster PCI512.

Thanks for any input.

    1. What file type did you save the CW songs to - .bun or .wrk? If you saved to .wrk file, you may be in trouble.

    2. What do your recording and playback devices say on the OPTIONS>AUDIO>General Tab? Should be your soundcard's stereo in/out.

Well i have some good news and some bad news for you regarding number 1.
The bad news: Is i have had the same problem with some of my old files. and as near as i can figure when you saved the songs to cdrw i assume you saved the cw project file but i beleive that the audio files needed to be saved as well. so if you did not save those seperate audio files i fear they may be lost.
The Good news: Is that i am by no means an expert and i am just telling you what happend to me.
As far as error number 2 i have no idea except to try and change your default setting to stereo

Good luck...sorry i couldnt be more of a help.

Thank you for the most dreadful news. How do you save a song properly? I think the stereo problem is fixed now.
