hardware orchestra

hi

i desperately need good orchestral and piano sounds, and have not really got enough ram to get good use out of software. (see specs below). i am currently using stylus rmx for percussion / drum loops, and for piano and strings i am using a rather limited soundfont library.

i think i need a synth / sampler i can play via my midi keyboard, and would be very grateful for some advice on what to invest in. i want to spend less than £150, and am prepared to buy second hand - ebay etc..

thanks

Look into Garritan Personal Orchestra, or the new Orchestral package from MOTU.

I'd look for an old kurzweil K2000 that has the orchestral block installed..you might have to stretch your budjet a little more for a used one on e-bay...but you'll have a ton of other sound design at your finger tips as well.

HAha, when I read "hardware orchestra" I pictured a bunch of machines playing instruments.
