Novice Question? Help!

Really dumb question but is there a way to spilt audio and vocals on imported audio files? I want to mix a song but without the vocals.

    Not without spending a whole lot more money on software and hardware. But, several regular contributors here say you can search the web for MIDI files of the song(s) you're looking for, download them, and have your way with them. Greg

    To add to Gregs correct advice, there are ways to do this bt it usually ruins the song be stripping the other area of the wave file that are near the vocals in the mix.

    I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!
