Aardvark Midi In/Out Problem?

I seem to be having a little trouble with my Q10 and LX6! I am currently using the 7.0 driver after trying 7.13 and 7.04. Symtoms are as follows-

7.13 - Audio- works fine but driver fails occaisionally which requires a restart
Midi- Sonar 5 PE constantly fails to recognise Q10 and LX6 midi ports on startup, though I am able to manually re-select the Q10, reload drum maps etc-(NF'nG)

7.04 - System instability, Sonar and Aardvark freeze and require a hard shutdown to restart- Task manager frozen as well!

7.00 - Audio in/outs are working and are recognized everything seems fine, drivers did fail once!
Midi - Q10 is recognised on Sonar startup, drum maps load with projects etc, but LX6 is rendered useless! It allows me to select it in options - audio, but when I shut down the dialog box and check to see if it is still selected, well you got it, it aint!!!

I realize this is probably not a Sonar problem, but I 'm wondering if Im overlooking something here! Seems weird that everything works fine but the midi in/out on the LX6. BTW The LX6 works flawlessly on my older system, midi and audio!

Specs-
P4 3.20 w/ht, Foxconn 945G7MA Mobo, 2 gigs Kingston Ram, 2-200gb Seagate hds
Audio-
Aardvark Q10 (master) and Aardvark LX6 (slave to SPDIF)

Any ideas would be very helpfull!! Thanx

I have the same processor (Prescott) @3.2, the Aard 7.13 was the only driver written to support HT technology, so you might turn off HT when using 7.04 or below.

Do you have any control surfaces defined in Sonar? Choosing MIDI devices can wreak havoc on your control surfaces and vice versa. I didn't have much MIDI trouble with my Q10 but I was getting the Aardvark driver crash thing, that's common.

Lucky me I have since moved on to a RME FF800 and left the pain (most of it) behind. My Q10 now serves as sound card on secondary DAW and as an analog mixer (with control panel) feeding FF800 inputs.

EDIT: check your device manager to make sure the Aardvark Q10 is set to "use MIDI features of this device".

    1973 "A" neck.

    I'd rather be playing Bass:

LMAO! This is exactly what I was thinkin of doing with this 1! The Q10's midi is working fine its the LX6 that wont stay selected as a midi device. It shows up under options - select midi devices, it just continually un selects itself. I goofed around with them all day and so far 7.00 drivers with ht enabled is running very smooth(just no midi on LX6) I just finnished workin on one of my own projects for the last 2.5 hrs and had not 1 problem! Im thinkin I can live with just this minor problem, considering what the worst could be! Thanks for the reply!
