M-Audio ProjectMix Question

I am about to purchase a ProjectMix I/O, but I want to make sure of something before I do...

I read in another ProjectMix thread that some of the features on the ProjectMix (like the Audio Meter, and Master Fader) were not working with Sonar because cakewalk has not made an actual template for the ProjectMix control surface (I guess it just uses the Mackie one)

So my question: Don't the control surface features just use midi information to control aspects of Sonar? so couldn't you just customize the template in Sonar in order to make all the features of the ProjectMix interface work?

I just set the master fader to bus 1 and that takes care of the master fader issue for me. I have not figured out a way to make the meters work on the projectmix. Im not sure if the control surface uses midi info or not.
Oh yeah, there are 2 websites that i know of still selling for $999. music123.com and bhphotovideo.com

I just saw those two sites, and a working unit at a local store this week. It feels like an auction... soon that price will be gone.

Yep....if you are thinking about purchasing, I would do it this week before the prices go up just like everyone else.
