The same thing happened to me. Must be a glitch in the system. Looks like it's one upgrade price no matter what CW product you use, but what that price is, and how you can apply it to your order is a mystery to me.

Are you sure there is an "upgrade" price? It is the first version of a new product. All the items on the cakewalk store display the textbox to enter your serial number, but it is only relevant on products where you can select an upgrade version. They ought to consider removing the serial number textbox for products without an upgrade price, to avoid unnecessary disappointment.

It looks like they haven't set an upgrade/crossgrade/promo price yet, as there's no radio button to select between two prices. Give it time, but as I said in another thread, this cools my gear-lust a little bit. I may go for CSR first, as I have a very attractive price available on that. Doug

ORIGINAL: cityrat Yeah - I dont think there IS an upgrade or promo price. Kinda sucks, but whatever. I know Im not paying $259. Have to see about $199 at one of the "retailers" Musician's Friend (aka Guitar Center) is listing $249 (vs $359) for DimPro, $209 for Academic price. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/home/navigation?q=Dimension Rapture's not listed on their site - yet. No doubt either CW or MF/etc will come up with a better price than list. "Early Adopters" (ie folk with gear lust) tend to wind up paying top dollar up front. Doug

Here's what I see: Packaged English O $259.00 Rapture for new customers Special offers and upgrades are only available to registered Cakewalk customers. Hello, Rapture is a new product and as such, there is no special upgrade price to it. If you want the best price on this synth, I would recommend going to a retail outlet. The Serial Number field with the indication that special prices are only available to registered customers is currently part of the template of the store, and would be very difficult to remove. I agree it is confusing, and we are working on a fix for this to be included in a future update to the Cakewalk webstore. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best regards, Carl Jacobson Marketing Director Cakewalk

Carl, Thanks for the "official" clarification. Could Cakewalk on the store page describing Rapture with the price - just put a notice stating "The discount/reduced price box found directly below this statement is not intended for this product" until Cake is able to change the layout/page appearance? or something to indicate that is not a valid discount box?? Anyway - Thanks for the clarification. Steve

Well Guitar Center didn't have. On the shelf or in the computer. They did have Dimension Pro :)+). So I guess it's online or nothing.

Hi All, Rapture is now shipping and can be ordered from just about any music retail store. The street price is $199 everywhere, so that should level the playing field for ya a bit. Hope that helps. Thanks,
