got crappy drums need help

i am very new to midi so i need to ask for help.i did a live recording but i didn like the way the drums came out.can anybody show me a way to get some keyboard drums in there but that wont me triggered by the other drums picked up by the other drum mics.


need help please

    Umm.... I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but if I understand you right, you want to replace the drum sounds based on what the drummer is playing? Like, you want a drum trigger thingy?

    If so, check out Drumagog. It's a fairly cheap VST which trigger samples from the peaks in your wave forms. I have tried it a couple times to replace some kick and snare from live recordings and it came our with some surprisingly good results. This way you preserve what your drummer is playing but swap the sounds for something better. You might have to gate the audio before you send it to the Drumagog, tho, if it's a lot of spill in the tracks. Best thing of all, you don't need to learn midi just to do it.

    Apulsoft Aptrgga is also good.
