dimension pro update....slight problem?

after installing the update...I loaded in one of the skins i designed, and noticed that some of the roll over text as shown seem to have a slight problem with it.

are the text resource files changed in the new update?

Yes. Tooltips now display the real parameter names and units for each Insert Fx, according to the selected effect.

Did you revert the TextResources.cwres file to a previous? If so, why? That has nothing to do with the skin graphics....

Doh........not thinking, I left all that in with the rest of the graphics...I had to go and change all of my downloads to "not" include those files.

oh well....its the first time i have ever tried working with GUI's. a good learning experience....

except, now anyone who downloaded the skins, and tries to copy them over...will get the same problem i had...... woops.

I have a completely unrelated question. How do you take a picture of the screen shot? I have often wondered about that. It would be nice to make a tutorial, for some friends, for some of the programs that I know how to use, but I have no idea of how to take a snap shot of the screen. You also seemed to circle the problem area, in your post. If you could explain this, I'd appreciate it.

Look for the Print Screen key on your Qwerty keyboard. That will capture the entire viewable screen to Window's clipboard. Alt+PrtScn (it's labelled slightly differently on every KB) will take a screenshot of the currently selected window (like the Dimension Pro GUI above). Paste it into a graphics program, and you're good to go.

René: should the GraphicsResources.cwres file be deleted also?

Sean: We also need to update the wiki, or have you already done yours?

That file provides a 'link' between an internal opcode, and a filename. You cannot delete the file, or DP won't run. However, if the skin didn't change the filenames, it doesn't need to be part of the skin distro.

I have not updated the wiki...only my web site. we should check with everyone else also that made skins to see if they made the same mistake...
