5.2--worth it?
I know that on forums in general, people post more frequently when things are going wrong than when they are going right, so it doesn't surprise me that so far I've read more from folks who have had problems with 5.2 and had to return to 5.01, or before. Can't tell from these posts whether this is an exception or the rule, though, so I'm wondering...how are most of you doing with Sonar 5.2?

Phoenix ... No problems here (but I didn't have any dramas with 5.0.1 either). Best, Geoff

Greetings, I've found all of the SONAR 5 releases to be stable for me! In addition, I am really impressed with the gapless audio engine --- I didn't think it was going to be any big deal for me, but I have really grown to love it, and only now realize how much I missed it before. Regards, David

Hi: Sonar 5.2 working very fine. The only litle behaviour I have is when looping a region in a project which make use of VSTi´s. After any loops, a sound distortion similar to the one which occur when you set the latency so much low and the VSTi´s go out of sync. But you´ll suprise with the upcoming VST Adapter version (to be released shortly). It will solve this problem. For all the other specs, Sonar 5.2 rock, so after the adapter update Sonar 5.2 will rock totally! Greetings.

Thanks all for your comments. Juca, just curious...does the problem happen whether or not you freeze the VSTs?

5.0 was not too good for me. 5.01 was an improvement, but 5.2 is running quite stable. a big improvement. i'm pretty happy with it.

a8v deluxe & AMD 3800x2 1 GIG kingston dual channel memory ) (Zalman 7000 cooler) Sonar 5.2 & beta adapter (first version) No problems (No vsampler) (homebuild into a 19" case) I am happy that Cakewalk offers a surround package wich offers stereo into surround wich is more than Logic offers and is comparable with Nuendo 3 & the surround package. The fact you can integrate Adobe audition /wavelab or Soundforge into the menu (so any kind of editor can be integrated) makes the package comfortable.
