Why no clip pan shortcut?

When I record a chorus or something similar, I may overdub five times or so, I like to pan each one differently in the same track, It is quite a slow down to right click, envelope, create clip envelope, pan. I just want be able to select the clip/s, push p, and the envelope is there. Does anyone have a solution for this? I wish cakewalk would add this in the keybindings.

Is THAT a fact. I can't wait, thanks for the replies. The key macro in the dos 5.0 version was nice too. Why would they lose the good old features.

I end up using the clip gain much more than pan, and I wish I could bind a key to that function also.
