Flickering Console View

Does your console view flicker when sliding the buss pane or track pane? Try it and please let me know if is global or just me.

Me neither Steve, I haven't noticed this. I have read a number of your posts both here and on the EastWest forum and for what it is worth, we have a very similar set up in regards to software, hardware.

Sure you checked this but this problem screams to check for updated video drivers.

Do you have a separate video card or are you using the built-in video chip on the motherboard?

I believe it's your Video Card.

I used to have this problem with my old video card. I swapped it for a 128 MB Dual display card and never had the problem again.

Thd Meters display take up a great deal of memory. If you disable your meters, you will notice that the problem may go away. Also minimizing the consle view and then maximizing it again will get ride of abnormalities in the view casued by your video card inability to render the display properly.

In other words.. get a better card..

    Good luck to you.

    Peace

    Hi everyone

I am using an nvidia 6800 GT with 256MB. I don't think its the video card. I'm using the latest drivers too.

I don't see flickering unless I am sliding (scrolling) the window tab which makes the buss window bigger/smaller, etc. When I move that tab back and forth the console tracks all flicker and once I stop moving that window, the flicker stops. Its as if Sonar is unable to process the graphics smoothly and fast.

Okay I check it again. Heres what happens. If I iimediately goto the console view and move the buss pane left and right, the regular console track pane flickers in a diagonal, boxy manner. NOW, if I move the the scroll tab right below the console track pane, the track pane does NOT flicker. After scrolling the console track pane (using bottom tab) then go back and do what I did before by moving the buss pane left and right, the flickering is gone!!

So, what is that all about? It seems I have to jggle the console track pane back and forth to wake Sonar's video processing up.
