MOTU Soundcard Ultralite Opinions

http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/ultralite/

Has anyone used this interface? Know of any problems? I was thinking about upgrading my Echo Layla 20 / Presonus Bluetube setup and this looks like one of the ways to do that pretty easily. Will fit nicely in a rack with my Micro Lite midi interface and looks to give me all the same features, a nice front panel mixer, and 24 bit 96 khz recording finally.

Thanks for any input!

I don't have any experience with the Ultralite, but I have owned an 828MkII, 2408MkIII, 896HD and a Midi Express-128, and they have all been excellent.
I have been very impressed with every piece of Motu gear I've had.
    They make good stuff.

I own a MOTU Traveler. The Ultralite is a smaller version, but basically the same. It's a fantastic unit, solid drivers, clean sound. I don't think you'll be disappointed with it. I previously had owned a M-Audio 410 firewire and the MOTU was definitly a step up.

I was wondering how the preamps are on the motu ultralight and traveler ....do you think you need to add seperate preamps......and can you post some samples of something you did on the ultralight and the traveler...

I have a lexicon omega with no other preamps and was considering just getting a motu instead of buying a good preamp...any advice on that.....or a presonus firepod...
