Copy Mixer Settings? Workaround?

hello,
does anyone know of a way to copy mixer settings from one project to another in sonar 5?

i have multiple projects already created; i would like to copy mixer settings (including plugins if possible) to parts of another project/s. if this isn't possible is there another work around?

thanks,
q

By "mixer settings" do you mean Sonar Track and Bus settings, like Volume, Send Levels, Pan, etc.?

Are you using S5 (or 5.0.1 or 5.20)?

I would save the tracks as Templates (including any FX I want in the FX bin), Volume, etc, Inputs, Outputs, Sends. You can then import the templates into your other project. I guess you could then drag and drop the wave clips etc on to the new tracks .... Shouldn't take too long.

Well, given the rate at which threads mysteriously seem to be disappearing from this forum, your apparent desire not to waste any words is most understandable.

thanks, i look into that and give it a try. I have been copying mixer settings in nuendo, which is as easy as save mixer setting, load mixer setting. but the project must be set up exactly the same way.

with sonar templates, how do i apply templates to a project that is already created?
    thanks.

I insert all my new track templates, then copy/paste or drag/drop the audio to the new tracks then archive the originals. If there is a faster way to do it, I am unaware of it.

Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Core i7 920, Asus p6td deluxe, Sonar X1c PE, Motu 2408 mk3, Apogee Mini DAC, 3x UAD-1, Digimax FS, Motu Microlite, MCU, Tranzport, Nocturn. And more...

Right Click over Track Pane area (ie the panel to the left of the clips and waveforms), choose Insert From Template. That should do it.
