Can you chain tracks in the same project?

Is it possible to have Sonar 5 automatically moving to the next track when the current track has completed playing?

example: Track 1 plays, then Track 2, track 3, etc.

The reason is that I would like to audition different drum tracks that I've imported without making the effort to arrange them all into the same track.

Well, if I understand you right, couldn't you just drag and drop the clips so that track 2 starts just after track 1 ends, and so on? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick here?

Well, I just didn't think of that ! It was late last night and I'm still groggy this morning and I'm new to Sonar and music software (excuses ! )

The down side of that is, for the several projects I'm going to build for auditioning the tracks, I'll have more than 90 tracks. Dragging them after they are imported will be a bit of a pain but if I import them, using drag and drop, I can work my way across ( in measures) and down (the tracks) to build it.

I had found it easy to quickly drag from file manager over to the first measure of a new track so I was thinking about it from that perspective.

Thanks for leading me to a simple solution.

Or you can drag and drop from Cakewalk Loop Explorer view rather than Windows Explorer if you like. This has the advantage that its easy to audtion the tracks before you drag them.

If you aren't busy during this audition process you can select different clips and mute them with Q. I do this for checking out different vocal takes all the time.
