Is there an MP3 Encoder for MC3?

Subject says it all. I downloaded and purchased the MP3 Encoder for $29.00 from the cakewalk website here and now that I tried to run the installer it says that it only works for MC version 1.

I can't save any of my projects into MP3's... this just started happening. Anyone know where I can get an MP3 encoder?

First i would strongly suggest that you save and archive all projects as full wave files before converting to MP3. This way once it is an MP3 you can never regain the lost wave file from the compression process.

Next you can use most any wave editor to make MP3s goldwave is the best i have found, others use audacity, still others like sound forge, they all have there good and bad points. as far as a encoder try this one http://cwenc.sourceforge.net/ or this one http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!

the cwenc that robo mentioned is what i use - very easy.

but if you've already PAID for the MP3 encoder from CW, then if I were you, I'd make them FIX it! Call Tech support!

    Hey,

I looked at another of your posts Robo and I used an MP3 converter that you had listed there. It works fine... but now I need to email them asking for a refund... and for some reason the codec didn't work.

So... MC3 doens't have a working MP3 codec made by the cakewalk peeps?

As I said above, Keliah, if you've already PAID for the MP3 encoder from CW, then I would call TECH SUPPORT and make them help you get it to work! You've paid for it and it doesn't work, then find out why!

The MP3 encoder that came with MC as a 30 day trial is made by CW 'peeps' and should work for free up to 30 days and if you pay them the $30 it should work AFTER the 30 days.
