Anyone had this before?

Got an e-mail from www.naughtyaudio.com -

Ive been browsing your music on soundclick, and the production quality is excellent. If you would like to put your music where it is going to be seen by over 1200 professionals in the industry then head on over to
www.naughtyaudio.com.

Is it just a generated message sent to everyone on soundclick?

Can they be trusted not to rip our tunes and start selling them off to these "labels". I've heard of it happening to bigger producers than little 'ol me.

What da ya reckon?

Say what? House music all-night long.

I don't know about these guys but there are a lot of bogus labels out there that "sign" soundclick artists. Be very careful.

    Hi,

Thanks for taking an interest in the email I sent you through soundclick. We are a site, based on connecting artists to record labels. There is too much varience in the "myspace" market, and we have links to what the labels are looking for.

We rely on download numbers, user ratings and our own perception to link viable music to the looking labels.

Please feel free to register and browse the tunes. We are a new site, but we have the ideas, ambition and industry knowledge to point people in the right direction (and give the labels a helping hand also!).

I would hate to think that people think we are "mass emailing the whole of soundlclick", the truth be known, but soundclick is easy to browse, and your tune stood out for its sound quality. Yes, ill admit that I have browsed many track, and also, sent many emails... but It was after listening to the music, and thinking that we (as a site) can do something together!

Like I said, its free to register, so come on up. If you don't like what you see then you've only wasted a click! :)

    Fair enough.

Which tune are we talking about?

Look, what surprises me about this is that I think the sound quality of my tunes is not, well, right. The post-production or final mastering or whatever it's known as is not good enough. I would be shocked if a label wanted to press my tunes as they are. I burn one of my tracks to CD and then muck around with it in the middle of a DJ set but the sound of the track against the one that's already playing just sounds wrong. I can't get any 'oomph' out of it without redlining the mixer. You couldn't play it in a club. Even burning at 256 kbps doesn't do much.

Anyways, I'll go for a tour of naughtyaudio and perhaps chuck a track down, see what happens.

Never know - maybe there's more hot faux leso pics to be found too!
