Help with Choke in Velocity

I am using velosity with the Philly drumket and find that any drum hit chokes the previous note . It doesn't matter whether they are in the same choke group or not . And no, I am not hitting the same cell or sound. different cells choke each other. Its almost like this thing is not polyphonic. Is there some global setting somewhere that I am missing. this really sucks.

My answer will be not even close to as good as others but...

    Sounds like latency to me.

    1) Click Options on the menu
    2) Click Audio
    3) You're going to have a slider slightly below the middle of the screen called "Mixing Latency"
drive the slider all the way left and try it again.
