help needed--mp3 files

i have loaded mp 3 files from my compuer --watch them load onto my audio stream in mc only to see them as data withan inability to play them -- no matter what means i try to " open " the files--i cannnot get them to play or show any sign of movement...... sort of frustrating--is there anyone out there in audio land that can lend me a audio hand ??? i`de like to get my mp 3 to play back to me.....poor language --right idea...thnks jb

    you have to import mp3 files into mc using FILE>IMPORT>AUDIO.

    if you've done that and still can't get it to play, then you should check your outputs of that track and make sure they're selected to your soundcard's outputs.

    if you've done that, you didn't mention if you've ever played any of the tutorials or previous projects - so I don't know if you've ever gotten MC to play anything before or not. And we'll need a lot more info on your hardware - especially your sound card.
