PAN settings ???

When I drag and drop Ezdrummer clips into Cakewalk SONAR 5 the PAN data from Ezdrummer is lost...is this to be expected or is there something I am not doing?

Do you have EZD set up in a single stereo mix? Or separate channels for each output?

I haven't noticed this problem. I have EZD coming in on separate tracks. Then they go to mono tracks for the Kick, Snare (top) and the Snare (Bottom). The Toms, OH heads and Room go to stereo tracks. I never go with stock panning so that might be the reason I've never heard the problem.

    Thanks Yoro

If you have tracks set up as mono then they are likely to pull the drum instrument to the center unless you change the panning on SONAR track.

Do you typically pan your drums the same way each time? If so then consider saving your set up as a track template. That way it will insert EZD and all your tracks set up like you want automatically.

Yep, Dave's got the answer as far as I can tell. Track templates. With your pans set in Sonar. BTW, Dave, any news on the "having to have the gui open or minimized" when closing?
