You need to change driver modes to MME drivers in order to use Microsoft Synth GS, or setup a softsynth to use edirol VSC.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!

what was MC help telling you to do?

to change the driver mode like Robo suggested, all you have to do is go to:
    OPTIONS>AUDIO>ADVANCED
about 1/2 way down the popup window there's a pull down menu which probably is currently set to WDM, pull down and change to MME. close and restart MC, let it run the wave profiler.

sorry, but I don't know what part of the instructions you're following and don't remember anything about browsing for your sound card. you'll have to tell me more about the other instructions you've already done.

    heres what the directions are

    """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
You sound card should come with software, too. Some manufacturers provide a driver setup program that takes you through the driver installation. Always use the manufacturer's software installation program if one is provided. If one is not provided, follow this procedure:

1.Click the Start button and select Settings-Control Panel.
2.In the Control Panel, double-click on Add New Hardware.
The Add/Remove Hardware Wizard dialog appears.
    3.Click Next.
    4.Select Add/Troubleshoot a Device and click Next.
The system searches then asks you to select from a list of devices.
5.Select Add a New Device and click Next.
6.Select No, I Want to Select the Hardware from a List and click Next.
7.In the list of hardware types, select Sound, Video and Game Controllers and click Next.
    8.Click Have Disk.
The Install From Disk dialog appears.
9.Using the Browse button, navigate to the directory where the sound card driver is located (CD-ROM, diskette, hard disk, etc.) and click OK.
The Locate a File dialog appears.
10.Select the driver file you want to use for your sound card and click Open.
The Install From Disk dialog appears again.
    11.Click OK.
The Add/Remove Hardware Wizard dialog appears again.
12.Select the your hardware model from the list in the Models field and click Next.
    13.Click Next to start installation.
    14.Click Finish.
    """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
step 9/10 it tells me to hit browse and find my sound card...i have no idea where its located..if you know where it would be located..please tell me

Ok, Todd, I think we're on different wavelengths here. the "driver mode" that Robo and I have been talking about is NOT your sound card windows drivers. It's the driver mode listed INSIDE Music Creator (MC).

    As I stated above:
to change the driver mode like Robo suggested, all you have to do is go to:
    INSIDE Music CREATOR: go to:

    OPTIONS>AUDIO>ADVANCED
about 1/2 way down the popup window there's a pull down menu which probably is currently set to WDM, pull down and change to MME. close and restart MC, let it run the wave profiler.
