[feature request] a good choir sample set for dimension pro

the only choir Project 5 seems to have is from the extra material from P5 V1 for the DS864.

I think a small set from eastwest would be really wicked, as they seem to have the best choir sounds...but I don't need a $900 program (I would like it...but its way too much..)

so come on cakewalk...give a good choir expansion pack for Dpro. sell it if you have to....just make it good!....

please.....

best regards...
-Sean

I'll second that... more voice type sounds (choirs, vocal pads rather than sung phrases) would be a great addition.

Check out Prosamples Vol. 13 -Choirs . (I paid a bit more for it). It's not the greatest set of samples, but it's not $900, either. They're not bad at all masked in a mix. I've been toying around with .sfz mappings around these, and the preliminary results are encouraging. If anyone's interested, I'll post all of the .sfzs when I'm satisfied with the results. Of course, you'd still have to buy the sample CD.

Knowing your catalog, Sean, I'm surprised that you didn't dive head-first into Rapture/DP's format synthesis capabilities. You can come very close to vocal formats with the steep filters, EQ, and Element structure in either synth. There's quite a few examples of this in the new Expansion Pack sets.

I forgot about that disc. thanks B

and I am more of a preset tweaker....I never really learned how to program my own sounds, so i am a little lost in that department. most of this synthesis stuff confuses me still :)

Tell you what, Sean: I promise you that this'll only take five minutes. Go [here], and skip all of the preliminary StepGen talk if you like. Jump down to the part involving the filters. Any oscillator source, two filters, and two StepGens (or two triangle LFOs) later, you'll hear exactly what I'm talking about.

b rock..I like how your little picture keeps changing-but there is always that mystical Indian symbol hidden in the mix somewhere :)
I couldn't agree more-it's all to do with the breath and the opening of the chakras-but I must say that the art of Boshido has increased my understanding of being here now...It's all good...Best wishes to you and I hope that all is well in your world..aj washington

Precission sounds has soundfonts the are choir based. Angelic pads? 1&2 and if enough of us Dpro/Rapture heads get the cd I bet we could get in sfz. I'd would just write my own But not everyone is so inclined.
