Do I have wrong cables?

I just bought four XLR male-female cables to hook up my mixer to the computer (XLR inputs in the soundcard, TRS to XLR cables at the mixer end).

However, I accidentally bought XLR speaker cables instead of MIC cables, are these unusable in this situation?

I'm a pretty sarcastic guy you know...and questions like these literally cuase me to have sarcastic tourettes syndrome....mostly becuase it doesn't appear that you have thought about what you are asking before you ask it.

The answer tonight...just for you...IS NO!

Just find a speaker with an XLR plug and hook it up to your mic preamp. You may have to yell into the speaker but it will work, a speaker is the same thing as a dyanmic mic only larger.

And how doesn't it appear that I haven't thought about it? I'm no expert when it comes to cabeling,
and I was wondering what the constructional differences are between speaker and mic XLR cords.
At least, the speaker cable is unshielded, apparently, but my question was, is it unusable when connecting mixer outs to soundcard ins and vice versa, OR is it just a worse choise than a mic cable (something like you can use unbalanced cables in many situations, but the balanced is better).

So, no need to really be sarcastic here, if you don't feel like helping, then just keep your opinions yourself, if you please.
