HP Media Center Computer

Questions:
1. Circuit City had a audio-technica 33/45 turntable and the Cakewalk Pyro 2004 package deal which I bought. Installed the software & pluged in the turntable & I can't hear the music. Running Windows XP SP2 , 200 GB drive and lots of processing power.
2. Will the Cakewalk Pryo 2004 let you listen to LP's as they are being played?
3. Was able to see a song being input on the pyro 2004 screen, but until I saved it, I could not hear the quality of the song. This was only when I had the turntable plugged into the Microphone input jack. Is this right ????
