Overseas Order Placement-System broken

When is someone from Cake going to respond to the repeated complaints that the Credit Card Error (authorisation failed) is not a card issue but related to the way Cake collects our Address details when processing an order.

There is a work around (supplied by another user from Australia - Adroen) but it just plain sucks that no-one responds except with the lame "Contact your CC provider because you musn't have enough credit or you have not filled in your address details correctly.

C'mon Cake its your Web Site Order taking process that's the problem for goodness sake! Just a simple fix on a form for your overseas customers.

To add insult to injury I've received confirmation I'm getting the Sonar 6PE French upgrade. I ordered English I'm in Australia.

this is copied from my order confirmation email:-
"SONAR 6 Producer Edition 12-CWSP6.00-2RCG 1 179
SONAR 6 Producer French Upgrade from SONAR 4-5 Producer"

Even if someone acknowledged that there was a problem and it was in hand at least it would end this frustrating not knowing. ARRGGHHHHH!!!!

So damn frustrating- From Australia you don't get an answer trying to ring. I will not try that again. No response to email. Should have tried the local supplier, should have , should have, should have.

You guys make great software but your customer sales service is among the worst experiences I've had dealing with companies around the world. compared to Australia, US companies are usually so good but this business with Cake is infuriating.

This is my first real rant on this forum. Wish I could say it felt better. Oh if only they'd answer the phone or answer an email.

...bites off arm...hits himself over head with it...now only has one arm....can't play guitar anymore...what have I done? Woe is me. STOP

Ahhh! Better now

Thanks for that Dan, but its to do with the way Cake collects the address data in the form where put in our details. For Overseas users the Address info wont match the way the credit card companies keep your address info. Consequently when your card details are sent for verification they fail with an error suggesting you get in touch ith your credit provider and check your address or you don't have the credit.

Several of us have told Cake about it but we don'e get a response. the old if we don't acknowledge the prob it doesn't exist trick.

there is a work around by entering the data using all three lines in the address field but we shouldn't have to do this. it just a poorly designed form that could be fixed in a few minutes work literally.

Surprising, usually most companys are all too anxious to collect your money. :) Good luck, hope your Sonar sixing soon.
