BR: ACT Midi Controller slot recall order bug
Using ACT MIDI Controller as control surface. Open up options, turn off all rotaries and buttons, leaving only sliders on. Set mode to Main, enable ACT, disable Select highlights track, enable ACT follows content.
Insert Camel Phat on an audio track. Make map of control using ACT learn, tweak controls in this order:
cutoff, resonance, filter attack, filter decay, bp filter low, bp filter high, using 6 different sliders on my XP-60. Doing it this way: moving UI control, then moving slider on hardware, one after one. When done hit ACT learn to turn it off, click "OK" when says do you want to keep the 6 touched controls.
Everything is fine.
Now close sonar, and reopen it. Reinsert Camel Phat, and oh oh. Problem. The slots are assigned alphabetically and thus now my slider 1 which was controlling cutoff, is now controlling BP Filter Low, slider 2 which was mapped to resonance is now controlling BP Filter High.. the others are messed up too because of the alphabetical way it loads the slots in the ACT MIDI Controller dialog.
I can repeat this with any plug. Obviously it shouldn't sort alphabetically it should sort by order of assignment since the slots are what are mapped to the controls and so on.
Solution for me was to map twice; after reloading sonar with the erroneous recalled order of things, I simply reset MIDI learn, then clicked in each slot in succession mapping the controls to the right sliders. Of course it's still alphabetical but I dont mind as long as it works.
