2 Way Communications HELP PLEASE

I am trying to establish 2 way communication between my Mixer (MAckie 1402 VLZ Pro and my MOTU 828mkii (Firewire) Bruce Ennis could you please help!! or any one!!! Since the 828 is the "Sound Card" what would be the Sound Card Line inputs? or better yet how do I connect the 828 to the mixer so I can monitor both the signal I am recording and the playback signal from the computer?

    Start here:

    Look right here:

    http://www.mackie.com/pdf/1402vlzpro_om.pdf

Go straight to page 6; and follow the bouncing ball:

In the diagram, we're going to replace "4 TRACK" with your MOTU unit, and expand to 6 input tracks (you have 8 available on the MOTU)

Plug inserts 1-6 on the mackie (they're on the back) into inputs 1-6 on the MOTU.
Plug MOTU OUTPUTS 1&2 into LINE INPUTS 7&8 on the Mackie.
Optional: Plug MOTU OUTPUTS 3&4 into LINE INPUTS 9&10 on the Mackie

Plug your monitors into the main outs on the Mackie.

You will now be able to record the first 6 channels from the Mackie, while monitoring output on channel 7/8 on the Mackie.

Caveat: I don't own any Mackie products; but this is all basic routing so it should work. Good luck!
