Quick question about layers...
I click on an audio clip and select isolate clip in layer and nothing happens. I also turned on track layers and still the clip just stays in the same layer that it was in. What am I missing hear? How come this doesn't work like I think it should?

Try setting your Record Options to "Sound on Sound" when you overdub.
1973 "A" neck.
I'd rather be playing Bass:

Thanks for the reply. I had this boxed checked but I think I figured out a sort of workaround for the problem I was having.
In order to isolate a clip in a new layer it has to be overlapping another clip. While this isn't that big of a deal it's kind of annoying.
I will never understand software programmers.

but the whole point of isolating a clip is to mute the clips that it overlaps.
