making remixes

Ok i must sound really dense to all of you, but I am planning on buying th music creator 3, and i need to know a few things about it first....

can you make remixes with sound effects using songs from cds or mp3? I want to use this to make cheerleading mixes for competitions, and i first need to know if you can import mp3 files into the program to mix..... thank you!

oh wait.... and about this soundcard business.... (im computer illiterate...) don't most computers have them? or do i have to buy a separate apparatus? I was assuming that my tower had everything included......

yes, you can import mp3's and add instruments or voices to the mix.

yes, you need a soundcard, sometimes the computer soundcard will work, sometimes it won't. it's not going to be the best quality if you do. for your specific needs, even a $30 soundblaster from Best buy or something would be better than the on board card. but not more than that, if you start to spend more than $30 on a sound card, come back and search the forum and ask about "prosumer"cards that start at about $100.
