Mastering

Normally I bounce to tracks, then export. Then I listened to a podcast about mastering from a recording engineer. He stated that mastering makes the final product much better. I believe my GTPro3 has mastering capability but I don't really know what to do. Does anyone have any advice?

No, it doesn't really have mastering capabilities as is...you'll need to get some tools to do proper mastering...at least the kind that will give the track some polish.
There's a lot to mastering besides exporting the wav and burning it to a disk.

It's all about "quietly" balancing the frequencies, possibly applying some compression to smooth things out...of course most people like the level boosted to a more commercial level, but be careful not to overdo it! Then, don't forget to dither the audio to 16bit!

Keep in mind, this is a barebones description! There are many many nuances to mastering...and every ME has his/her own little tricks, and tools of choice.
