    Wow :10: you got it? do those sound cool?
    I just checked the Nexus website, really interesting. In case you haven't seen it yet, here's the Feature Highlights:

    - Over 4 gigabyte of previously unreleased sample material
    - Over 650 presets including all popular genres
    - Expandable. Three expansions available. More already in production. New samples and new presets

    The available expansions are Dance, House and Dance Orchestra. It's $59 for each, and there're 128 patches in each one.

    - Skinable. Five skins to choose from. $19 each.

    The plugin is USD 299. And if you want the Expansions and Skins, it goes to USD 553.41 I guess it's going to be a strong contender for our Dimension Pro.

    smart @ss....lol

    no...I want choirs and voices for DIMENSION PRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    pretty please. its the only thing that Dpro lacks. and i know it can do them just as well, if not better than anyother sampler out there!

    I sure hope you guys are at least considering it some time down the road. it would be a nice addition. dpro, and rapture are my go to synth/sampler. besides...listening, and playing with alot of the dimension presets, i know that some dark, and beautiful choirs can come out of this thing.

    I dont care if i have to buy it....just release it please.....

    best regards,...

    Sean, I have no doubt that Nexus is a stellar synth, and it can do much more than just choirs. I haven't seen a demo yet, but a lot of those presets might not be strictly sample-based (as commonly described). You know that I've been bugging you to consider the EW Choirs Vol 13. It's not the greatest set of samples, but it only costs $40-45.

    You also know that my typing skillls rival those of a pre-schooler. I just tossed this together with copy/paste, and used the Tencrazy MFX PortDiag plugin to do the octave conversions for me. Start to finish was five minutes, including creating a Classic Choirs folder under Multisamples, dragging in one sample set, and testing it. This is the mapping for the AHH choir in AIFF format, in the order that the samples are organized on the disk:
    // ----------------------------------------------------------------
    // Classic Choirs AHH.sfz AIFF
    // ----------------------------------------------------------------
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- a2.aif key=57
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- a3.aif key=69
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- b2.aif key=59
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- b3.aif key=71
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- c2.aif pitch_keycenter=48 hikey=48
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- c3.aif key=60
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- c4.aif pitch_keycenter=72 lokey=72
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- d2.aif key=50
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- d3.aif key=62
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- e2.aif key=52
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- e3.aif key=64
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- f2.aif key=53
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- f3.aif key=65
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- g2.aif key=55
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh- g3.aif key=67
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-a#2.aif key=58
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-a#3.aif key=70
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-c#2.aif key=49
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-c#3.aif key=61
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-d#2.aif key=51
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-d#3.aif key=63
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-f#2.aif key=54
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-f#3.aif key=66
    <region> sample=13-cho00-ahh-g#2.aif key=56
    <region> sample=15-cho00-ahh-g#3.aif key=68
    // ----------------------------------------------------------------

    It's a three-octave choir, but I took the top and bottom notes and stretched them out full-keyboard. Sounds like crap in the extremes, but you'll like them for mangling. I even tried to 'cheat', and point 'default_path=' to the disk drive, but Rapture and Dimension weren't buying it. If this is too much work, I know someone who's willing to trade that for some drum hit samples. Don't wait for official choir sets: make them.

    Edit: Hehe. Typo.
    Also, I hear that there's a homemade underground choir grazing somewhere in a Scottish pasture.

    Hey b rock! I looked at the EW Vol 13 choirs a while back. They got so many humdrum reviews (people comparing them to other stuff & complaining about the sample rate & bit depth) that I decided to wait and buy SOV or some other big expensive library. [In other words....I'm still waiting to find a choir I can afford.]

    Maybe I'll have another look now...

    The only other thing I've heard that was even remotely attractive was the VOX'd add-on soundset (made by Back In Time Records) for Wusikstation.

    Well, let's see. I COULD make my own choir library by sampling my singing....but then I'd be stuck composing film noir for the rest of my life. That WOULD be scary. I've been told I have an OK voice....but from what I can tell my DAW has yet to really prove that. It would probably cost me more money in voice lessons than it would cost to buy a library. But then at least I'd be able to sing.

    Is that Scottish underground choir group wearing kilts & accompanied by bagpipes? That could be a unique choir lib.

    Larry, I think that was because it's so difficult to get choir samples that wouldn't have problems with distribution. I'm exploring some local possibilities, but I want to travel without all of the extra baggage. I'm trying to see if I can get something decent with a handful of good mics and a MicroTrack.
    Maybe I'll have another look now...
    Mike, it's not too bad of a set, but it's obviously not going to compare with top-shelf sample sets. Depends on what you're trying to do with it. In context, with the effects of masking, or as a basis for synthetic processing, you really can't beat it for the price. You're not going to fool anyone acapella. But even where the samples don't seem quite long enough, a little envelope shaping and a touch of chamber reverb does wonders. There are, however, some individual examples that were sampled terribly.
    Did you remeber to use the control header?
    Do we having a head-slapping or ass-kicking emoticon on this forum? Thanks, Chad.
    Edit: Still didn't work; RP or DP. I even tried copying the path directly from Properties. <control> header, default_path=, no spacing; the works. Blasted with the sfzlog.txt. Is the drive letter itself (H:\ in this case) not a valid entry?

    You know, I just got my MicroTrack about a month and a half ago. I was using GigaStudio to map samples to the keyboard...up until I bought Rapture. Now I just drag them into the Rapture GUI and - BAM. This is one of my favorite things about Rapture. The USB connectivity of the MicroTrack combined with this drag&drop sample mapping makes sampling rediculously easy. Props to another great combination of tools...

    I guess I was not specific enough. I was asking people to contribute their own vocal samples to pool with which I would map out and then send up to Project 5.com for all to snag. I was not asking for samples from paid for copyrighted not to be shared samples. With enough contributors we might have even luck out

    I don't share or distrubute paid for samples that is not nice and can get you in deep dodo.
