Effect for Violon and Steel Guitar

My question is do you put some effects on Steel Guitar and violon? Which one?

    I think nobody has answered your question because it is extremely vague. Whether or not to use an effect on any particular audio track, and of any particular instrument, is really completely up to you as the engineer. Almost everything benefits from a tasteful use of some reverberation, but beyond that---I suggest you just start experimenting!

    I have heard chorus and distortion on a pedal steel. I've heard distortion and echo / delay on a violin. It all depends upon what the song calls for.
