    Oh I know. I just thought that since Cake's a Windows app (and soon to be a Vista app) that some would find it interesting.

    Haha! that is pretty funny.
    But to be honest, anybody except rabid fanboys will (or should) admit that OS's all (ahem) 'borrow' ideas from each other.
    the biggest difference between Windows and OSX is discoverability. Windows leans heavily on the "accomplish tasks" paradigm, while OSX aims for an "application based" OS. That, as I see it has been the main difference for quite a while.
    Basically, that means that in windows, you only need to know what you want to DO, whereas in OSX, you need to know what app to run.

    (I'm not even going to mention that OSX is BSD with a facelift - oops too late!)
