I can't log into my Cakewalk account any more
Hi, Given that Cakewalk is giving away the DAW system, I thought I'd just check to make 100% sure I was registered properly. But for some reason I cannot log in anymore. The Cakewalk site does not even recognize my email address when I choose the Reset Password option (I still get all the Cakewalk emails, though). And this is with the same email address that Cakewalk used to send an email to me saying thank you for registering S6 and that here is my registration number. What is up? Was I even entered into the competition at all? SilkTone

I too checked to find out the system deleted my history and now all I have in there is DimPro and Z3ta+ I called to ask if I was included in the 'contest' and they assured me I was I could REALLY use a new DAW for S6 ( hint hint )

I recently changed my email address with Cakewalk. That went fine -- I get emails from CW now. However, this did not change my login, which is still my old email address. To make things worse, I seem to have a second account whose login is the new email address, but there are no serial numbers listed. They are all in the old account above. Dunno if you guys are in the same boat, but thought I'd mention it because it confused the heck out of me at the time.

Hi SilkTone, Thanks for the report, we'll look into what could be wrong. Just to be clear, are you logging into this page? http://store.cakewalk.com/ What region are you selecting? Last question, what email address are you using to log-in? (Rather than give out your personal info, we'd rather you call our CS team at 617-423-9004 or 888-CAKEWALK and talk through a solution) Adam Burch Cakewalk

I sure did. Thought it might be the new Microsoft updates causing trouble, as they often do.

(Rather than give out your personal info, we'd rather you call our CS team at 617-423-9004 or 888-CAKEWALK and talk through a solution) Adam Burch Cakewalk I tried the link you provided as well as the login from the front page of cakewalk.com (seems to be the same address). My email address is still not recognized. I did call up customer support, and someone told me that Cakewalk recently changed the login system and that they were trying to get people to re-create their accounts. Maybe I got an email asking me to re-create my account, and didn't notice it, so it could be my fault. Either way she said that all of my registration information was in the internal system and that (as far as she can tell) I was entered into the competition. I guess I will never know for sure, but I will accept that I probably was entered. She said that when I re-create the account, the internal registration info will be transferred to it. I will do that and see what happens. UPDATE: I just re-created the account and all my purchase history showed up. I guess all is good then... SilkTone

Hi Adam- I guess I'll have to call CW, too, since I can't log in with any of the addresses I've tried, even though I have return e-mails from CW acknowledging all my recent orders, so I know I'm using the right ones. Thanks- -Susan

There does seem to be some disconnects. I created a new account in mid-December because my old account was missing. I was dismayed to find all my previous registrations still missing and therefore ordered my S6 upgrade over the phone (which took down the Cakewalk servers ;). Anyhow, I have received and installed S6P and registered through the S6 "Help" menu. Just logged into the cakewalk store with no problems, but the registration for S6P is not there under "My Registration List". I am a little worried about the registration police, but it's Cakewalk not Sony or Apple so I'm not gonna think too hard about this. Back to my regularly scheduled music creativity....

It's definitely broken. I tried to log on a couple of days ago and it didn't recognise me. I applied for a new password, received it and logged on and all my history is blank now. I tried to log on again this morning and it wouldn't recognise me again. I asked for another password reset and it now says it doesn't know my email address at all - which it did the other day !! Come on guys - what the dickens is going on here???

It's getting weirder. I just created a login account and the registration list shows products I don't own (and never ordered), like Music Creator 3 and Sonar 6 Producer. The products I do own, like Rapture and Project5 V2, have the wrong serial numbers. Dimension Pro and Sonar 6 Studio are missing though....

Uh oh. I wonder if their server's been scrambled, hence the forum blackout also. I've emailed their customer service link about this. I don't want to find problems with future upgrades etc. when they insist I haven't been a customer for all the years that I have!

I was able to log in to "My Account" with no problem; however... I emailed Cakewalk about this before, but received no response. I have purchased every upgrade from Cakewalk Pro DOS 2.* through SONAR 6.* Producer Edition and registered each version. I also have purchased / registered Pyro, Project 5 Version 2 and Dimension Pro. No information whatsoever is listed when I log into "My Account".

If you do see your serial # (but no reg code), there is a workaround to get your reg codes back. Go to the following link: Lost Registration Code. Here, you can enter your serial number and email address and have your reg code emailed to you.

Hi All- How important is it to be able to log into your Cakewalk account, if anyone knows? Does it mean the difference b/w getting an automatic upgrade price or having to call them, for example? I can't log in with any of the several e-mail addresses I've used for registrations and orders over the years. I finally chalked up not receiving the newsletter over lo these many months to my ISP restrictions, but shouldn't CW at least recognize me as a long-time customer somehow? At this point, I have no access to my account, and it's like I've never ordered or registered any of their products. Thanks- -Susan

Hi Susan, I have a similar problem. I can get in to my account, but only has some of my purchases listed. CW customer support said it would catch up and have them list over time. Three months later NO Hope they sort it out just for the patches to download without having to bring my Serial number to work. I still can't get high speed at home. Ed

Same problem here. I am able to log in after I found out I have to change region to Europe (nobody told me so...), but none of my registrations are listed. I also have another problem with my registrations, asked support about it and did`t get a concrete answer ( details are not of interest here...) and last but not least the forum was down for almost 2 days without a word by Cakewalk. I don`t know what is going on in that company, but they are presenting themselves very amateurish these days.

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Secondly, it's probably best if you start a new thread rather than tacking on the back of one which is 8 years old.

+1 on top of that, your probably going to mad as #$%^ at yourself for not: -entering your password correctly. -confirming the email that was sent you. I just checked and log in is working fine. with that being said, im not a new user just logging in for the first time. so it could be something new im not aware of.
