Default Sfz+ Mode to sf16 : how ?

Hello,

Is there a way to force sfz+ to use sf16 (or any other mode) at startup by default ?

Thanks.

    Nobody has a solution ?
The problem is that my computer runs out of memory when I load many soundfonts at once, as the default mode is always sf32 (the memory used is the double of the soundfont size) and I have to change it manually.
It would be practical to have each channel default to sf16 at startup.
    Any idea ?

    Thanks, Chad.
Actually, I'm not using Sfz+ with Sonar but with another host, Acid.
So, I'm just wondering if there is a way to specify the default values within Sfz+ itself.
The default fxp file (sfz+default.fxp, as stated in the user's manual) does not load automatically (bug ?), I have already tried it.
    Any other trick ?

    Somebody can help me ?
By the way, why doesn't the default fxp work, although mentioned in the user's manual ?
The file is called "sfz+default.fxp" and it's in the installation directory.
Do I do something wrong ?

No other easy solution, within Sfz+ itself ?
Is there an update for making "sfz+default.fxp" work ?
    Thank you.

Were you enrolled in sfz+ beta program? The sfz+default.fxp issue was present during the beta cycle, but it was solved before 1.0 release.

If you were, then uninstall sfz+, verify that there's no sfz+.dll files anywhere in your system and then run sfz+ installer again. Make sure you have admin privileges when uninstalling.
If you were not, then please email me with your registration data (customer name, registered email address), and I'll send you a diagnostic program which will create a log in your system so we can trace the origin of this issue.

    Hello,

No, I have never had any beta version.
I have reinstalled Sfz+ with the installer purchased at rgc:audio (version 1.01).
I send you further information about my serial number.
    Thanks for your help.

    Pol

EDIT: I cannot send you a private message. What can I do ?

Just email me to rene at cakewalk dot com.

BTW sfz+ doesn't need a serial number. I will just need your full name and registered e-mail address.

    Rene,

It seems to be a problem with your e-mail address at Cakewalk. I have tried to send a message twice and I've got en error message :

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    rene@cakewalk.com on 7/02/2007 10:25
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

    I will try rgc audio.

    Ok. I got your message.

Pol, (or Djipy, as you prefer), I have decided to run all the risks and send you the latest sfz+ version, the one we always shipped. Please try the default loading on it.

First, I would like to point out the following :

    I'm not "Djipy".
Djipy was a friend of mine, indeed, we worked together on some musical projects, on my audio workstation.
After having personal problems with Djipy, I decided to stop working with him.
Now, I'm working alone and I have no more contacts with Djipy.
The Sfz+ license is still mine, Djipy copied my installer and other confidential info without permission.
I think that the context had to be clarified.
    Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your support, René. The new installer does not fix the problem.
I have sent you the complete Sfz+ directory as a Zip file, for you can try those versions of exe, dll and fxp file. Let me know the results.
