midi recording

hi. i have a pinao with midi in/out. i tried to record it at my sonar 6, but couldn´t achieve it. i plug in/out in my audio interface m-audio fast track pro and i can hear the sound and can see the recording midi track in sonar. but when i export the file to mp3, i can´t hear anything, like it wasn´t recorded. if i don´t have the piano plugged, i can´t hear anything. in fact, i hear the recordind playback from the pino, and not from the m-audio/sonar.
what´s wrong?

tks =)

    The sound is from your keyboard. So if you want it in the project you need to add an audio track and record the sound of the keyboard to that track. Then you can export the audio track to MP3. Keep the midi track in case you need to edit it and redo the audio track.

    Or you can insert the TTS-1 software synth to your project and change the output of the MIDI track to the TTS-1. Then the sound will come out of the TTS-1 track and be part of the export.
