The Vista Threads are Getting Out of Control Thread

WTH is going on here tonight. I log in and there are 5 threads on the main page concerning Vista

The Positive vista Thread
The Negative Vista Thread
The Barney Rubble Vista Thread (WTF? I didn't even bother to read that one)
The Neccessary Realism Vista Thread (oh my...)
Which is better...Pro Tools or Vista!?!

It's a bit ridiculous but funny at the same time.

HA HA HA,,,, there's just too many creative people around here!!!

I really did laugh when I saw all those. I think we are 20 - 40% funnier than we were in Sonar 5.

Some of the Vista threads are a bit more usefull. I don't mind reading about actual user experiences so I only included the funny sounding ones.

I hear ya HH - Too many people have too much time on their hands.

FFS - stop the stupidity and the endless "I'm so clever look at my pointless Vista thread". This is a forum to share experience with Sonar, not to audition, (normally crappy), stand up routines.

Methinks mummy didn't give some folks enough attention...

You know that this is no longer the Sonar forum. You didn't get the Email on it?

It is the new Vista forum!

I heard the "Which is Better . . . Pro Toos or Vista" thread is 20-30% funnier than any of the others.

Yeah, I guess it's a "to each his/her own" thing. Some here are so serious and like to wear their seriousness like some sort of scout-badge, and others just like to lighten-up and blend some humour in with it all. We each get to choose where we want to be

There's not enough drama in this Vista thread. Good Vista threads are built on a solid foundation of conflict.

There is no need to upgrade unless building a new computer or you are a tech freak that must upgrade. I will upgrade when I do a new core2 duo build soon, because it is natural progression; nobody is shoving it down our throats like some people seem to think . Vista is just as solid as any other OS before it, why wouldn't it be; it's actually miles above XP. People are really stupid anymore and OLD people always have a problem with change don't they! Time to borrow some of those COSMO-DIPES from that astronuat you FUCXXIN Babies!!!!!

Well, Steve the problem was and still is because of the original post by Vertigo50-The Positive Vista thread. He added some rules and dictated to the forum. All he had to say was write something like"can we keep this thread for positive responses only, we have enough talk of how bad it is,Thanks All for your copperation" or something like that. I do not pretend to think I can tell him how to post either, I just suggest alternatives to his dictatorship type post. Read his post which I only asked him to reword, as others did also! He would not, will not, does not cate about hte harmony of the foruym. Many others complained to him and he made jokes, and was very disrespectful to a few members, one a female. No call fo that.
Yes, Steve, after that I got really upset and carried on a bit, all directed at Vertigo50. I apologized to the whole forum and CW. Just wanted you to know the whole story. This forum is for all of us and their are riles and regs set down by CW and as adults we also should behave appropriately. I didn't as I stated. I have ceased realizing their is/was no hope of this person doing the right thing by all of us. I will apoligize to you also, personally. I have no problem with that. I know who I am and how I should act. Hopefully I can remember that in the future. I imagine I can
Thank You and Have a Nice Day

BTW, this particular thread is what we call in the Forum business a "meta thread"...

    Carry on.

No need to apologise to me, I take everything in stride. I didn't actually catch any of that. I just mostly get a kick out of (and feel a bit sad for) the few here who are, like, serious ALL of the time. It can be kinda nice to just have fun with it every now and then. I say this as a recovering "ex-too-serious" dude myself, but I took my pills, went to group, and now I'm feeling much better

So, what's this "Vista" I keep hearing about?

Enjoy the time you've got, because it's all the time you get.

I plan to stick with XP for a long time unless someone comes up with a reason to do otherwise. But then, I'm still in Sonar 5. They both do everything I need. Why screw it up with new stuff for no apparent reason.
