out of tune direct in recording?

I've been recording my guitars direct in, but for some reason when I monitor through my Presonus Firepod, my guitar is at times out of tune. Then when i immediately listen to my guitar live (not through my audio interface), it is completely in tune.

I can't figure out the problem. Is this some kind of issue resulting from direct in recording? Would latency in my computer cause this? I'm really confused and don't know what to do. All of my microphone recording is in tune, as is all of my midi tracks.

Just wondering if anyone out there had this problem.

Thanks!

This is usually due to a difference in sample frequency between the Firepod and the project in SONAR. Check all your audio options and your interface driver preferences.
