Sonar 6 and Asio4all

I have Home Studio 2004, and it works fine with Asio4All v2.7.

I'm considering upgrading to Sonar 6 Producer Edition, but I'm not able to get this version to work with Asio4All. The setup in the 'Audio Options' window is the same as in HS2004, but I get no sound.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Which audio device are you using (onboard audie, etc.)?

Do you get some error messages?

After setting up asio4all in Sonar (selecy ASIO, select drivers, set dit depth/samplerate), did you remebered to re-start Sonar?

    Hi,

The main soundcard is a Terratech Producer 26 USB. When recording guitar, I also use a PodXT or a DigiTech GNX 3000 as soundcard.

    Nope, no error messages.

    Yes.

However, I just noticed one thing: I Sonar 6, I can not change the "Driver Bit Depth" (24 is selected, this is set to 16 in SHS'04, but it is disabled). In addition, the "Buffer Size" handle is also disabled and uavailable.

FOLLOWUP: OK, I did set up the Terratech card to use 24-bit and now this works (although, Sonar is showing "16-bit" on the statusbar of the main window). Unfortunately, I'm getting crackling & popping when using the GNX 3000 as soundcard.

That information is for project settings ... you can change this in Options --> Global Options --> Audio Data -tab --> File bit depths --> Record Bit Depth.

IIRC, you can set the driver bit depth in Asio4All control panel by forcing the WDM to 16-bit (you could set this if all your devices don't support 24-bit 'resolution').
