sfz+ Dual Core update any time soon?

Is it happening? At this point I havent been able to use sfz+ properly for mONTHS.

since this is a cakewalk product does this mean it can no longer be resold? I hate having something just sitting there unused.

The changes in sfz+ for dual-core processors is already done at engineering level. However, the deployment and testing stage on it is not really scheduled within a 'very soon' time frame.

The rationale behind this, is that even in dual-core processors (or dual processor computers) user can load up to 16 SoundFonts in sfz+ before hitting this issue, which is generally enough for most projects, and for those projects requiring more than 16 SoundFont files, a simple workaround consists in turning off the parallel engine at a host level.

In any case, if for any reason you cannot use above workarounds, just drop me a message to rene at rgcaudio dot com, and please include your complete registration data. I'll equip you with a beta version with the fix included.

    Hi Rene.

In preliminary testing, what kind of performance differences are you seeing when you run optimized on a dual processor system. Are you seeing any cache issues? I'm interested in general, not just with .sfz processing. In other words, how does software synth processing lend itself to being split between processors sharing a main memory.
