Setting the PLAYBACK TEMPO

I'm new to guitar tracks pro and I'm having some trouble with playback. After I make a recording, it plays back twice as fast as the tempo at which I recorded it. So a recording of 8 measures comes down to 4. It is much faster than how I recorded it. Although this is a good feature, how can I record in real time? Or reduce the playback tempo of the recorded track?

Thanks!

Are you using a USB mic? This is a classic symptom. If so, change your driver mode to MME. You will get some latency, but you don't have a lot of options.
Tell us about what kind of hardware you are working with. We may have some ideas that will help.

I'm using a Lightsnake cable (1/4) - the recording is fine and I can get the effects and everything to work fine

    That's about it for hardware

OK. Pretty much the same scenario. You have the 1/4" in from the guitar, but it plugs into the USB port, right?
There seems to be something in the interface that kind of freaks out with the signal timing.
It lays the data into the file at twice the rate you think you are recording at.
Try changing your driver mode(Options>Audio) to MME. Restart the program. You may need to run the wave profiler again.
Let me know if that helps.

That worked! Thanks so much - I've been frustrated over this thing for hours.
