How do you get this vocal effect?

Hi guys. I really admire this band I don't know if you heard of them they are called "Hellogoodbye." They are mainly a pop rock band. Since my music is based around this music style, I was wondering if I could get help on something... There singer has this very unique vocal effect that I just dont seem to know how to create. If any of you have a lot experiance with vocal editing, let me know if you could help me get this effect. Here is their link...

You will hear it in the song "All of your love" and a lot more of it in the chorus of "here in your arms"

Thanks!

Where is that video of someone using V-vocal to do the vocoder effect... it was so easy... but man I forget the link. I've wanted to try this as well.
