2 Monitors or PCs?

So I was wondering..If I don't have a 64-bit processor then do I need 2 monitors or 2 PCs to run the 64-bit engine on SONAR?

You only need one monitor and one PC.
    But 2 monitors are nice.
But so are 2 PCs...then you can use a KVM switch and have both the PCs through one monitor...
unless you have 2 monitors...then you can have Sonar on 2 and you other PC on one...with the KVM switch.
Course you'll need a dual video card for that...
Then there is the 3 monitor setup...

So all I really need is a 64-bit processor and I can use the full features of SONAR?

I think all you have to do is make sure the 64 bit option is checked in the audio options box, if that's what you mean by full features.
I don't think you need a 64 bit processor for that, but I'm not 100% sure.
There is a 64 bit version of windows which is needed for the 64 bit version of Sonar...is that what you are wondering about?
    Sonar's recommended requirements for processors is Intel® Pentium® 4 2.8 GHz [EM64T]AMD Athlon™ 64 2800+Or higher
but the minimum requirements are, well, less than that...

I think the issue isn't the number of monitors. I'm using Home Studio 2 with two monitors, well one monitor is my laptop screen and the other is a 22 inch widescreen connected to the VGA port on the laptop. That isn't a 64 bit issue, it's a video adapter issue.

It has nothing to do with your machine's ability to run Sonar in 64 bit mode. I'm sure that information is on the box.

Correct. It's like having a car with four doors instead of two. It has nothing to do with the engine. I too use two monitors and it's fabulous, but it isn't a must. It won't make your music sound better, but it might make you work faster...

You don't need a 64 bit processor to use the 64 bit audio engine.

but if you dont have a 64 bit processor while using the 64 bit engine won't that slow down the PC?

No it does not. Actually, it seems to improve performance on my computer at least. It's only increasing the number of bits used during the mix and results in better sound quality and less chance of clipping.

Celerons have a bad rap around here. a lot of people have had problems with them using Sonar. I wouldn't recommend someone buy a Celeron if they were looking to build a DAW, but if that's what you already have, you could try it, but there are no gaurentees.
