    Hey Jim and M,
great tune, excellent arrangement and production, it's really full and tastefully constructed.
The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the lead vocal seemed to jut out, a little, rather than sit within the mix.
    Good job guys.

Thank Opaque, meaning too hot? I was wondering if I should bring it down a bit

    Hi Jim,
I don't hear anything that makes me stop and say...NO!
I'd do some things different, but that's just personal preference and not worth mentioning.
You've got M helping you out and he's got pretty good ears.
    Are you happy with it?

Thanks Roger, I'll take that! Yeah that M sure is a big help so much so that I feel like a guest on my own song I'm pretty much satisfied long time on mixing this one--Just wish I could sing betta and more in the pocket DOH! but yeah and Paul Russel's going to be mastering it for a cd project that will be interesting to hear.

Yeah, too loud and a bit dry and sounds somewhat disconnected from the whole but i must stress that i say this a lot so it may just be the way i like it and that i'm in the minority with this. So, if you like it you should probably ignore this.

Hello Jim (and M). Very well done, good pop/rock tune - I didn't particulary hear anything 'wrong' with the lead vox, all I can say is I really loved the BGVs. Also, guitars are smokin'.
    Thanks for sharing this!

    jimrocks22 and M,

Great pop/rock tune. Nice mix, creative background vocals. The lead vocal did seem to pop out a bit from the mix for me too (listening in headphones). Nice delay on the lead voice, subtle, I almost did not hear it. Great guitar chops. Nice rapid run on the strings. Good job, gentlemen, well done.

thanks! I'd love to take credit for the smokin guits but that's most likely M's mine are the middle solo and the left side at the end but he comes along
on the right side and hits the lightspeed button. But all the vocals are mine

thanks for the listen, yeah those strings are more M created brillance, I'm going to bring the leadvox down

Luckily, after all that time I can still listen to a song like ... well ... just a listener. As such I have to say, I like the song. It's a decent, solid rock song with a few catchy hooks, recognizable an memorizable. Great.

    And now as an "expert".

The arrangement works very well, there's some serious guitar playing going on. And no, it's not just the lead parts which, of course, fit perfectly. Maybe the two of you could have played the the end leads with some more personal style? As it is, there are two guitar players sounding quite similar to each other. Great playing, though. The string interludes add something special to the song.

Like opaque slogan, though, I'd prefer the lead vocals better "embedded" in the mix. They are kind of jumping out. It's a minor issue, I guess.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Regards,

    Tommy
