Processor Recommendation

I would just like to ask this simple question....what computer processor do you guys/girls recommend for maximum efficiency/use on SONAR or any other Music Creation software?

    Currently: Intel Core2 Duo of the fastest variety you can afford.

    The E6400 is sitting in my wish list for the best price point at the moment.

    Are you building one from scratch or are you updating yours or are you going to buy a new stock pc?? if your building one from scratch, wogg said it all. If your updating your pc, if you have an AMD, you should stick with an AMD. The AMD 64x's 2 are verry good also, but intel right now is slightly ahead.
