Newb question

Hi all

think this is a newb question. I want to go through the presets in Z3ta+ without using my computer keyboard. Is there a way I can do it through my midi controller - I have an edirol pcr50 and I'm using sonar home studio 4xl.

Also does any one use the Gate feature in Z3TA, am i right in saying I just need to press C0 ( which I presume is a low c on my keybard).

Forgive my ignorance, i don't really make use of midi controller messages etc.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

You need to send z3ta+ a Program Change message to scan through the presets. As I recall, your Edirol has dedicated buttons for that. I'm not sure of the exact procedure for your 'board, but you'll also need to send a Bank Change message to switch among the 6 banks. I use CC#32 for that, at a value of 1 to 6.
I just need to press C0 ( which I presume is a low c on my keybard).
Remember, though: you've got a four-octave controller that's normally centered in the MIDI note range. You'll have to use the left octave button to shift your KB all the way down to MIDI Note 0.
