Dimension Pro - stuck MIDI notes with Cubase 4

Glad that finally someone adresses the cubase 4 problem .....
Dimension Pro worked fine in cubase 4 after i got a new .dll from cakewalk ... surprised that the stucked note thing wasn´t fixed in V 1.2. Now i got the same message that my beta version is expired ???
No chance to get dimension pro back to work, since i´m currently working on an important remix where i was using a lot of dimension pro stuff ... it´s a real bummer for me
Reset my sytem time like cakewalk told me made thing even worse and messed up pther authorisation ... aaarghh.
I love dimension pro and need HELP !!! Have to work .....

I don't get it. Why you got a new dll from Cakewalk then? The only "new dll" we distributed was aimed to fix hanging notes in Cubase 4.

But it´s a fact that Dimension Pro always had this problem ... More surprising would've been that it *would* fix it:

Dimension Pro 1.2 release date: March 31, 2006
Cubase 4 release date: Sep 20 2006

Thanks. There wasn't a 'next update' since the issue is known, so we didn't have a chance to fix it. Furthermore, as I explained early in this thread, our fix is more a 'hack' than a 'fix'. We are waiting for the official word from Steinberg on how to solve this properly.

yes I managed to get it sorted out. Is this the same chad ?

I needed to update my vst instruments from cubase itself. So all sorted now. How long do these fixes generally last ? I'm doing a show in november and will be cacking myself if the fix runs out during it.....

they shouldn't run out , you mean as in "time limited", I'd be 99% sure (only thing certain is death / taxes as they say) .. as users (including myself) would be emailing the bakers a lot more if that was the case..

My last Beta version of the fix expired earlier this year...(i installed it last August) was wondering if this one will do the same. If I die before it is due to expire I won't have anything to worry about....

I mean I beta test something else , elsewhere.. and yep their is expiry dates on the beta's.. that link I'm pretty sure is the final version of it. As for your last comment , I hope not..

I'm sure one of the bakers will but in with the definitive answer on Monday when they are back at work, or maybe before.

it works fine in sonar and in cubase for me (well I haven't tried it in 4.5 yet) .. might be you hardware synth not releasing the note and a local setting in that? do you use anything like a sustain pedal also?

I'd run the latest Dim Pro 1.5 update here:

It's possible that you overwrote only your DXI and not the VST dll that is being scanned by cubase.

Update to 1.5 and it will automatically replace your VST dll file, with the latest version of Dim Pro which also includes that stuck note fix.

It still sounds like you've got an old Dimension Pro version hiding on your system.

Verify that all of your Dimension Pro.dll files have been replaced with the later versions.  Perform a file search for Dimension Pro.dll.  View the properties of all of the Dimension Pro.dll files.  Remove any Dimension Pro.dll that reads to be version lower then version 1.5.0.X.
